We've decided to do things a little differently at The Dog and Gun. We like to mix things up a bit and we also love pizza. Because of this, the offering at the DG isn’t traditional by any means. Instead, we’ve gone along the lines of small plates and pizza - nole pizza to be specific. It's our hand-stretched sourdough pizza that seems to be gathering quite the following in the Salisbury area so we hope you like it too.
The new menu offers a handful of non-pizza options as well as tapas style dishes such as 'nduja scotch egg, ox cheek + treacle croquettes, and padron peppers with chilli salt. The pizza itself relies on a patient dough making process and uses a traditional Neapolitan recipe. It’s a slow prove, fast cook concept, which makes the dough chewy and tasty and the crusts the best part.
Not everyone is a pizza fan, and even if you are, you might not always fancy it. Because of this, we will always have some alternative ‘non-pizza’ options as mentioned above. Refreshing pints and crisp glasses of wine are of course on offer and are the perfect way to wash down that cheesy deliciousness.
If you fancy a pizza on the go, at the top of a hill, or in the comfort of your own home, then come and grab one as we also do take-out. Equally as delicious as dining in and the menu is the same as the restaurant - just give us a call on 01980 670838 and we'll get cooking!
