At the Dog & Gun, we have six cosy and comfortable en suite letting rooms above our village pub in Netheravon. Ideally placed for anyone looking for accommodation near Amesbury or a relaxed stay close to Salisbury Plain, our rooms offer straightforward comfort in the Wiltshire countryside.

While we’re conveniently located near the main road, guests can still expect a restful night’s sleep and we even provide complimentary earplugs to make sure of it.

Expect exposed brick and flint walls, original oak beams, vaulted ceilings and the kind of details that remind you you’re staying in a proper Wiltshire pub rather than a generic hotel.

Sitting at the heart of Salisbury Plain, the pub is surrounded by acres of open land. When it’s not being blown up by the military (do avoid the red flag areas),it’s an excellent place for a wander. Our premium king room, featuring a king size bed, a freestanding bath in the bedroom and a shower in the en suite – a little more space for those planning a longer countryside stay near Salisbury Plain.

Room 6

A family room sleeping up to five guests (one king, one single and a sofa bed) with an en suite featuring a bath and overhead shower – a practical option for families visiting Wiltshire or exploring the area together.

All rooms are located on the first floor of the pub.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in: from 3 pm.

Check-out: by 11 am.

We may be able to accommodate an early check-in or late check-out with prior agreement so please don’t hesitate to enquire.

We have a couple of dog-friendly rooms, for which we charge £20 per dog per night (up to 2 per room). Please enquire with us directly to check availability of these rooms.

Are the rooms suitable for children?

Children are welcome, and the family room is especially convenient. We aren’t able to add extra beds to any of our rooms and we don’t have cots.
What are the nightly rates?

Our room rates are dynamic so they will vary by availability, season and room type. Typical pricing starts around £100–£140 per night, with premium and larger rooms costing a little more, especially during peak periods.
How do I book a room?

You can book directly through our website or by calling us during reservation hours, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. When booking direct, you can save at least 10%.
Do you have free parking and Wi-Fi?

✔ Wi-Fi is complimentary and accessible in rooms and public areas.
Do you have EV chargers?

The Dog & Gun does not currently have EV charging points. However, nearby charging stations can be found using services such as Zapmap.
Can I dine at the pub?

Absolutely! Our kitchen serves seasonal, local produce, including pub classics and hand-stretched sourdough pizza until 9pm daily.

Table reservations are recommended.
